• Winros Speed and Excel

Hi,
My colleague and I are experiencing significant lags in excel with winros providing data, that we did not used to. Specifically we can see data update to a graph in esignal app and then up 30 seconds later the data will actually reach the corresponding cell/symbol winros call in excel. We did not used to see this (say 3 months ago before we upgraded to 10.4 from 8.1). We are not using the data in new ways in excel. Note that we are NOT experiencing a lag to the core esignal app. Therefore the problems seems to lie (perhaps) with using latest version of esignal (10.4... just noticed 10.5 so will try that shortly). We have fast machines and again did not see this in the past. Suggestions as well as optomizations for use of winros in excel? (is there a more modern way to proceed then this dll?). Tech specs:
-- windows xp or vista (we are seeing same problem under each)
-- cpus dual core or quad.
-- esignal 10.4
-- excel 2007
Removing these lags are critical to us as we rely on excel to do near real time analysis for us.
Thank you,
Lin

Lin,

Sorry for the delay in responding, was doing a little research to find out if there have been any reported issues with linking the DM to excel in the latest versions of eSignal.

Couple of question if you don't mind;

What method are you using to get the data into Excel (EFS, eSigTools)?
How many symbols are you tracking in the spreadsheet?
Are the cells linked to other cells doing more calculations?
Is it possible that we can get a copy of the spreadsheet to test?
Thanks in advanced,

Winros vs Qlink

Hi,
Thansk for reply. I called on this issue. It would appear that qlink is the main supported link these days. We have transitioned to qlink and that is working well (albiet not free).
Thanks,
Lin
