  • Unavailable efs studies

    Has anyone experienced this?

Periodically efs studies accessed via a right click on a chart, and selecting "Formulas" yields subdued efs study file names that can't be accessed.

I think that this happens sometimes after I do a clean install and copy the efs study directories from another drive or backup site but I can't be sure since sometimes it happens and others it doesn't.

If anyone knows how to correct this I would really appreciate a post.

    Thanks

To clarify, the directories and files are available via every other method other than eSignal (like explorer).

      Re: Unavailable efs studies

      Hi Wayne,

I believe the issue is you have too many efs files in your formula directory. I had this occur myself and resolved it by removing my older out of date efs files that I had saved as backups. I believe you can either delete them or move the extra files to any folder except the formula or function library folders. As I remember, there is a limit to the number of files eSignal will look for on startup.

      hope this helps.

correct. You have too many files/folders in the FORMULAS folder.

I've experienced this often as I write a bunch of code for clients.

What I do is I copy the entire FORMULAS folder and make a backup of it in another folder (a master backup). Then I go into the client folders and remove old projects from the esignal/formulas folder to reduce the total number of files.
