Linking to a spreadsheet

Hi,
Is there a way to link eSignal to a spreadsheet. Simply put, I would like to be able to click or double-click on a symbol in my spreadsheet (preferably Open Office) and have my charts switch to that symbol. Is this something that can be done?

Programmically it is possible to link your excel spreadsheet to the eSignal applicaiton using Symbol Link Functions in the Desktop API. Section 4-1 of the eSignal Reference Guide discusses the Symbol Link functions and the assocated response events used to link symbol between eSignal and a third party application.
