  • Omitting holidays from standard charts

How can we get standard charts (both daily and intraday) to skip (i.e., not display) dates which are holidays (like yesterday in the U.S., 11/26/09, which was Thanksgiving). Some versions of eSig ago the calendars.tab file controlled this and could even be edited by the user to adjust for exceptional events (such as the market closure following 9/11). Now however stardard daily charts display a blank space for a holiday and intraday charts (both tick and interval) have no data for a holiday, just empty space. Calendars.tab still exists and seems to control advanced charts which do not have the display problem. However standard chart no longer reference calendars.tab it seems. Couldn't this be corrected -- standard charts still have a lot of advantages over advanced charts, when it comes to CPU usage and display of smaller time frames (tick and under 5 minute bars) especially when one wants to view the entire trading day late in the day (for example, to judge intra day support and resistance).
    Thanks.
    Peace and Justice --- Patrick
