  • outgoing traffic at 80 G of data!!

    Hello,

I recently checked the network statistics in my computer and found that eSignal Datamanager had:

    Incoming traffic (download) = 7.3 G
    Outgoing traffic (upload) = 79.8 G

    In the last 4 months

Why would that be possible ? Is this normal ?

    Thanks for your help,

Sorry for the delay in responding I needed to do some research and talk to the necessary people to get the correct answers.

    Incoming traffic (download) =
    Outgoing traffic (upload) = 79.8 G

    In the last 4 months

Why would that be possible ? Is this normal ?
The data coming into the data manager is compress so it's not as large.

The outgoing traffic is from the Data Manager to the Winsig (eSignal) and it's the uncompress data that's populating your application.

      Avery,

Just to make sure I understand you correctly - what you're saying is the incoming traffic from eSignal's servers out on the web comes into the Data Manager on the local PC, then it's uncompressed (at what looks to be about a 1:10 ratio, and forwarded to the eSignal display application (Winsig) via TCP/IP.

So, most of the "outgoing" traffic relative to the Data Manager is actually local network traffic within the same PC.

      Yes?
