  • Duplicate Symbols

Anyone tell me if it's possible to create duplicate symbols using a nickname? That is, es m0, es 01, es02 etc. Reason: I would like to trade the es with a couple of different EFS's, and keep the results seperate within the account manager. Realize I have es #f, but it sometimes doesn't behave identical to es m0.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

    Cheers

Not sure why this was moved from the EFS section. Anyone like to confirm yea or nay before I take up some of support's valuable time?

      Hi,

It doesn't appear to be an EFS related question so that's why it was likely moved. I played around a bit with the spread symbol engine to see if I could create duplicates but haven't found the trick quite yet. You could play around with that as a start. Otherwise, I'm not aware of any specific way to mimic a symbol in our program. Users get pretty creative though, so that's why it's good to post on these forums.

      Thanks.

Thanks Scott. I'll study up on the spread symbol option. At the very least, I'll learn what it is all about. Appreciate the answer.

        Cheers

Edit: Hey, Scott. That worked very well. I created a spread called TEST as in the knowledgebase example (.5 * ES #F + .5 * ES #F) and finished up with a chart display of TEST, which is identical to ES #F. It was simply a matter of knowing which method to investigate.

Thank you very much for furthering my education.

        Cheers
