  • eSignal Pro vs OnDemand

    Dear Expert,

I would like to know what the major differences are between eSignal Pro and eSignal OnDemand.

I would like to save some money by going onto OnDemand.

Any suggestions\recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Adriaan

In a nutshell, both services use the exact same desktop application. The key differences lie in the data types and the ways you can access the data.

With the eSignal (or eSignal Pro) service, you get streaming real-time or delayed data (including tick data), the ability to connect to 3p applications and the ability to use DDE/QLink to export data to Excel.

With OnDemand, the data is in a delayed snapshot format and there's no ability to connect to 3p's or DDE.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks.

      Thank you Scott.

How delayed is the On Demand data?

It varies by exchange. Typically, most fall between 10 and 30 minutes.

        Thanks.

OnDemand is now compatible with 3p applications and users can also now add QLink to export data to Microsoft Excel.
