  • local data caching

Is it correct to say that unlike eSignal Premiere and Advance GET, no data is cached in the local hard drive for eSignal
    onDemand?

I noticed it takes a good 1-2 seconds for my set of 6 charts (intradays, daily, weekly) to show up everytime I switch symbols. I have 1 mbps dsl connection.

    musa,

eSignal OnDemand has all the same features that eSignal Premier has. The only difference being that with On Demand you're not getting real time data.

The time it takes to load charts is going to depend on the amount of data you're loading. This is controlled by Time Templates or Viewing Area of the charts when you're using the Dynamic Setting. For quick load charts of previously loaded symbols during yor session use the “Bar Caches Setting” under File-->Preferences.

    Hope this helps.

      1-Load more history automatically?
Is there anything in the works to cache long historical data on the hard drive in some encrypted (but fast) form so that trendlines on 1or5min charts get the right slope w/o having to manually back the chart to the beginning-minute first and studies such as 500d SMA's show up w/o having to back up to load enough history? (if it's accessing a local cache, it's not loading enough...RAM's nearly free now...pig out)

2-Once I've downloaded entire 1min 10yr data, store it locally, encrypted?
Everything's amazingly snappy once I go load my favorite charts into RAM in the morning. It would be exceptional if I could cache all the charts I use, wk/day/15min/5min/1min, all the way back and have that file on an SSD or ramdisk. I think it would also relax your [eSignal's] bandwidth demands quite a bit if I had the entire cached history and I only recieved some kind of authorization cert and the realtime data each day.

This could lead into better utilization of cores for studies, or even GPU or CUDA optimization for studies that use full historical data.
