I initially setup my eSignal 11 cell phone alerts using e-mail but that did not work very well. This was due to the fact that in addition to cell phone e-mail you need SMS text messaging to allow for Alert notification on the cell phone and the two were not dependable. I then started to think that since the eSignal Alerts are very short messages why not just use SMS text messaging without cell phone e-mail. The attached image shows how I set up my eSignal 11 E-Mail Alerts using GMail as the e-mail and AT&T as the cell phone provider but others would be similar. The only requirement is that the chosen e-mail supports POP3.
As an added note, if I do not want cell phone Alerts I just "toggle" the "Use SSL" to block connection to the e-mail.
