  • Version 11+ "Sector City" Questions

I would appreciate hearing from the Support group regarding the following questions.

1] I recently took a look at the "Sector City" page, and was surprised to see several empty rows in some Watch Lists because of "Invalid Symbols." I would have expected that e-Signal would automatically eliminate an invalid symbol -- explanation?

2] Am I correct in assuming that the "Sector City" is 'frozen,' meaning the trader must update individual watch lists [e.g., replace sluggish stocks with more active ones, etc.,].

    Thank you,

    pot

The Sector City page is one of the prebuilt pages included with eSignal 11. This page isn't updated by eSignal on a regular basis because it would mean having a new installer. Because symbols change and get delisted all the time, some of these symbols are going to get outdated and become invalid. We will look into updating this page. To answer the second question, yes Sector City is a static page that was built by us when we were first releasing eSignal 11. It's not something that we dynamically update the content of. You are free to make changes to it and customize it however you like. Hope this helps.
    Thank you,
