  • Export / Share composite symbols with another eSignal user.

I was wondering if there was any way to share a watchlist full of composite symbols that I have made with another eSignal user?

After a few guess and checks and a short search, it seems I am left with asking here.

    Thanks in advance.

The easiest way to do this would be using the backup and restore tool which can be accessed through the Es icon within the program.
    Thank you,

      Thanks Eric O.

Just before I create more problems than I solve, will another user restoring the composite symbols that I back up to their different machine overwrite the composite symbols that they have or simply add to them?

What happens if there happens to be two of the same name?

      Thanks again.

It will overwrite composite symbols that they have if they have some of their own already in the program.
        Thank you,

          Thanks again Eric.

How does it work for "Dictionary and Order Defaults"? Can we share those?

A colleague and I have both just started with eSignal and are working through the learning curve and setup together. It would be great if we could split the task of mapping symbols or just have one person do it and share it with the other so we can save some time.

          With continued appreciation,

          D
