  • Release of RAM

    Hi,

    Ref: eSignal ver 11.5. 2964.845:
It doesn't release RAM when pages close.
When running 3 identical pages with 8 charts, 2 of which have about 15 indicators (2 min and a 100T intervals) RAM usage is at ~6.31.
I close one page and RAM drops to 6.29.
I close a second page and RAM drops to 6.26.
I close the last page but leave eSignal open on a blank "New Page" and RAM drops to 6.21.

I would expect that much more RAM would be released each time a page is closed.

    Is this by design or??

    Thanks,

    Wayne

The program will hold on to RAM that it has used for a period of time just incase it needs to use it again depending on what is being done within the program. Should this RAM be needed for another task, the application will release this so that it can be used.
    Thank you,

New release 11.6.3001.1045 (32-bit) now uses memory much better (ie less) than 11.5. In fact up to 60% less for same taks which should help in various performance needs. For me has been a real improvement as my system was slowing down at times of huge volume movement during the course of the day with cpu taking as much as 100% and memory usage rising to 50%+ of my system resources.
