Esignal 7 - chart scaling problem

It will revert if the chart is set to dynamic and attempts to load more data as you scroll data back. You should be able to stop that from happening by setting up a time template and load a set amount of bars rather than leaving it as dynamic.Thank you,

Eric,
Just downloaded the latest build on my laptop (Build 11.7.3253).. again.
Unfortunately, the overlapping issue persists even when choosing the fixed data range instead of dynamic.
As soon as you start playing with the x-axis, it gets all screwed up. I have no problems of the sort with build 11.6.3167.
Evidently there is a difference somewhere in there between the two builds..

Thanks for looking into these as well.
Just reverted back to 11.6.3114 x 64 and all seems to be as it should be . . . will update to 11.7 when issues resolved.

Then I suggest you change them back to the original settings which produced no scaling/overlapping problems. That much seems obvious.
Another issue I'm growing tired about and which was also supposed to be addressed is the time it takes for charts to load. For some reason, today was really bad with the "..resolving symbol.." message displayed several times during the session for up to 20 seconds. Any progress on this front ?

The time it takes for charts to load in the eSignal 11.7 version is a known issue. We are awaiting a server side update that will take care of this issue and restore the chart loading times to normal. In the meantime you can use 11.6 which doesn't have this issue. I will post again when the chart loading issue has been resolved. Thank youThank you,

You mention a server side issue. Does Esignal connect via a different server depending on the version 11.6 or 11.7 ??

No, it doesn't connect to a different server depending on the version. The program loads the data from the server different depending on the version. This will be fixed with a server side update to boost the load times of the eSignal charts back to the normal speeds (if you are running eSignal 11.7). eSignal 11.6 does not have this issue. If you are seeing an issue with data loading slow (~15 to 20 seconds) then you may want to contact our tech support team so we can troubleshoot and find out what is going on.Thank you,

Depending on the symbol, time of day, studies and line tools on the chart, chart type, and how much data is being loaded, yes I would consider this about normal. In some cases it should be faster and in some cases it will take longer depending on the factors mentioned above.Thank you,

Well, just for your information, in Version 10, which I still use on my laptop, the exact same ticker/chart imbedded with the same studies, loads instantaneously.
On average, compared for instance to Tradestation (also instantaneous load time), 5 seconds is simply unacceptably long when your trading actively and moving from one ticker to the other.
And if you're telling me that I need to reduce the number of studies associated with a chart to speed things up, than that really defeats the entire purpose. Also, I'm still adamant that V11 still has that candlestick overlapping/ scaling problem which you believe may be addressed by simply reducing width, but which changes nothing inreality. You guys really need to put your heads down and figure these problems out.. Sorry.

We are aware that charts load slightly faster in the 10 series depending on certain settings and PC specs. eSignal 11 is also capable of much more than the 10 series and will only be getting better from here on out. I didn't say anything about reducing your studies, I do not know what setup you are using so I'm unable to say what would improve the performance of the application on your computer at this time. I'd be happy to take a look if you like and see if there's anything that can be done.
As far as the bar overlapping that you are seeing goes, the behavior you are seeing in eSignal 11.7 is the same behavior as eSignal 10.6. Currently there are no plans to change this.Thank you,
