  • Volume FX Charts

I notice that by default a new advanced chart contains the Volume indicator, at the foot.

If you are looking at an FX pair, what is the volume data made up from ? From where does it come. I am asking this since there is no actual exchange / market.

In this instance the number of ticks that occurr during that period. In the image below you will see that on the 16:59 bar the Volume is 9 and if you count the number of ticks in T&S with the same 16:59 time stamp you will see that they add up to 9.

          Just to eb absolutely clear:

That means the number of times price has changed in the given time period.

          Thanks for your patience.
