csv OHLC file in advanced chart

Is there a way to plot a CSV or tab seperated OHLCV etc. file in an advanced chart or other chart window in eSignal?

Hi wildfiction,

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but if you're asking if a csv file can be imported into eSignal software, the answer is no. However, this is an oft requested feature and we are looking to do this in a future release.

If that is not what you're asking, then please clarify for me.

yes that is what i was asking. i use eSignal now but used TS in the past and i know that with TS if you follow a fairly strict format you can layout an ascii file in a certain way and TS will then chart it for you.

I think that this would be a great feature for eSignal. Basically eSignal currently allows you to import (or use) a tick file and that is useful and this would be the same thing except it would allow you to specify the time frame and import OHLCV bars instead.
