  • Winsig.exe not closing

    Hi,

eSignal 7.6 closes down, but in Task Manager the Winsig.exe process does not, unless forced to. This only happens when a layout includes a Leaders board.

Removing the leader board before closing eSignal allows the Winsig process to close properly. I've tried this with new layouts so the problem doesn't seem to be corruption.

Is there a fix for this now, or one in the works?

    Thanks.

    Boardman,

I tried to duplicate this in eSignal 7.7 (build 678) and all the eSignal related processes seem to shut down properly. I don't have a local copy of 7.6, but I'll give a run through in the morning. I do remember an issue similar to the one your describing, but everything seems to work as it should in 7.7. Also, if you could let me know what OS you are currently running, it may help isolate why the process is hanging. Thanks.

      DuaneG, I'm using Win2000.

Since you say it seems to work ok in 7.7, I'll just upgrade soon.
The only thing I was waiting on was confirmation that Text Manager could still be called outside of eSignal in version 7.7. Since you addressed that in another thread, I'm no longer concerned about the issue affecting 7.6.

      Thanks again.
