set alerts

I've been using the alerts and would like to know how I get the alert to use a certain sound (as a default).

It seems I have to load a sound every time I use the alert.

In the Alert Edit/Status window put a check in Audio Alert then click the Select Sound button and the Browse button in the dialog box that will open. Select the sound you want as a default and click OK twice.
From that moment onwards that should be the default sound.
