I sent the following in to [email protected] - just thought others might be interested and want to add their 2 cents worth.
I would like to compare price action to changes in Dividend and Div Yield.
Since the dividend only changes quarterly (or monthly etc) and the yield changes as price changes, the study pane would probably work best by having the dividend drawn as a bar and the yield drawn as a line. The process could be easily repeated for other ratios such as: EPS and PE; and Book Value and Price to Book.
Also, if the bar is drawn on the xDate then it would be nice to have a “News” flag (and hot link) drawn on the chart when the dividend was announced. And, we should have a way to show split dates on the chart as well.
