  • Multiple timeframes in charts?

    Hi,

Under esignal v7.6 I was able to have multiple currencies and multiple currencies in different windows simultaneously. Since upgrading to v7.8 if I open another advanced chart and select a diff currency pair and/or different timeframe then it changes all my other charts to be the same symbol and timeframe? I thought this was to do with the linking of charts but I have them unlinked and it still happens? How can I stop one chart from effecting the others?

    Thanks

    Grantanderson,

Thanks for the post. The only reason a chart would change when a new symbol was selected was if the window was linked either by symbol or interval. Can you confirm that the windows that are changing to the new symbol are set up like in the image below? Both the Symbol and the Interval box must be set to X. If you could perhaps include a screenshot of the window(s) in question, it may help identify what is happening here. Thanks.

        Auto Linking Defaul

        Hi Duane,

I had the same problem and battled with it for hours. Not at all intuitive and nothing I could find on it in the Help Files or Knowledge Base. Is there any way to change the default setting because I find this "feature" very irritating. Thanks.

See this article in the eSignal KnowledgeBase on symbol and interval linking
FWIW I found it by searching the KB for "interval linking" (without the quotes)
