7.3 Beta Available

We have created a full 7.3 beta installer which uses build 566 of eSignal. This release is available in a public File Sharing group called 7 Series Beta.

There is also a new open forum by the same name that was created for the Bulletin Board site which is located here and will be for posting comments, questions, bug reports, and suggestions for this beta.

Please keep in mind that this is beta software and not for users who don't want to risk running software that is not at a production level.

This beta features pop out windows which allows you to click on a button on the window's title bar just to the left of the minimize button to pop the window out of the Layout shell. You can then move the window to any location on your desktop. If you save your layout, it will even remember the position for the popped out windows. There are also changes to improve the advanced charting, market depth window, and a few other tidbits. Please look at the readme file that's included in the installation for more information. Some of the new features are not 100%, but your feedback will help us iron out the problems. Support is only available through email and the new bulletin board site and not through the normal phone support lines as most reps aren't running the beta software at this stage.

I hope they include the option to select a set scaling in advanced charts. This means to set scaling to a certain value and then it stays that way... no autoscale!

eSignal 7.3

This Floating Windows (popouts) feature is so cool, thanks Matt & Dion!!! You can now drag a chart window, quote window, etc, out of the main eSignal program frame. This makes eSignal much more usable for the multiple monitor users to set up the look and feel of their layouts in a bigger desktop space.

This is a feature I've been looking to have for years and have never seen anything quite like this on any quote system.

When trading with price action alone it is of benefit to have the same scale in all market situations... with autoscale a narrow trading range can look like a volatile market... which is not helpful. Right now I always have to adjust the scale on the right... I don't want to have a nicely filled out screen... I instead want to know when the market is flat and when the market is moving. That's all... and this can be done much easier with a fixed scale.
