Indices and volume data

New user here,

On advanced charts, I've noticed that I receive intraday volume data for many indices but when I try to get a daily chart for the same index I don't receive any daily volume data, nothing for nasdaq, nyse, sp 500. I do receive volume data for Dow and Toronto, is this normal.
