Applying studies to other studies

I apologize if this has been answered before, I searched the forum but I couldn't find a post that answers the question.

How do I apply a study to another study? For example, how can I apply a moving average to a volume indicator placed on an advanced chart?

You would do it by means of an efs (eSignal Formula Script).
For example click here and download VolumeMA.efs which computes a moving average of Volume.
