  • Best Approach for a Newbie

Hi, I've recently started using eSignal.

I've been through a few of the videos explaining how the system works.

However, some aspects are very new to me - for example, EFS studies.

Other than the obvious, "Just read through everything", is there an approach anyone can advise as to how to develop my knowledge of the system.

Also, roughly how long will it take me to become accustomed to the system?

    johntherevelato,

I'm the furthest thing from an EFS guru there is, but it was suggested to me that by working with the EFS Formula Wizard and watching how different studies are built, it might help with an overall understanding of how EFS works. From my experience, watching the output from the Formula Wizard is a good way to see how the various studies look from a code standpoint. Once you see how things are compiled, you can then begin to add your tweaks and custom settings.

To open the Formula Wizard, go to the Tools menu at the top of eSignal and then choose EFS and Formula Wizard. Start playing around with some different settings and then refer to the EFS Editor to see what you've created. Hope this helps.
