  • Would anybody using End of Day data please help

    Hi,

I live in a country that has local time 9.5 Hrs. ahead of US Eastern Standard time.

I am using eSignal EOD data service and when I plot intraday charts, they show strange trading hours on X axis as shown in attached 1 minute Dow chart. It starts at 12:00 AM midnight goes to 1:30 AM and then restarts again at 5:50 PM and goes till midnight next day.

All other charting and data service I am using show the correct Eastern Trading Hours on my X axis.

Duane from eSignal is suggesting to change the the system clock but doing that would change everything on my computer. There must be some other way.

Are you guys getting the correct time and if yes did you do any kind of setting changes in Advanced Chart applications?

I would really appreciate your feedback and help.

    Thank You.

    Hi Steve,

I had the same problem when I lived in Australia, 3 years ago, and I got the same answer then - to change my computer clock. But as you say, that messes up the dates/times on all your other computer applications.

With local time on intraday charts, the vertical lines that should show separation of days can appear in the middle of the trading day - very confusing.

I had asked then, many, many times for an option to input chart times to display as +/- local time. Because even on the US west coast, it would be nice to see NY time on the charts (but at least the day separation is right)

I had no luck years ago asking for a "Show NY Time" feature - I wish you luck now.
