  • Line segment rotation capability?

I am currently using Esignal version 7.2 build 544. My question to
anyone is can the software, or the next beta version, allow the
drawing of a line segment from an origin point, and then rotate that line segment without changing the length of the segment?

More specifically, could one draw a vertical line or a diagonal line
and then rotate those lines clockwise to a "shallower" diagonal or even a horizontal position, again without changing the length of the line, only the "slope"?

Thanks in advance for your response.

    Hi David,

While it's possible to click on a line and edit it which means rotating it, with one end ancored to the chart and rotating the other end which is the end that was "grabbed". It would be very difficult, if not impossible, to keep the line the exact length at which it started from. In other words there's no way to rotate an existing line while the line remains in a fixed length.

Instead of rotating the line, how about super imposing the lines of rotation as shown below

        Circle?

Hmmm, a good work around. But, how does one keep that tool drawing a perfect circle instead of having to "eyeball" it in various ellipse forms?

Thanks in advance for your reply.
