well done on chat window

I know that it's been in esignal for a long time but i'd just like to say how professional and cool the irc chat window feature is. I really enjoy using it. Job well done to the man/woman who programmed that window!! I especially like the way that the images pop up and can be minimized and the fact that you can overwrite the original file but the image is maintained in the window.

in the channel that i was posting charts in - someone was saying that they saw different times along the bottom of the chart which they attribute to being in a different time zone. This surprises me because I was under the impression that it was a raw image file that was being displayed in the channel and not changed in anyway by the chat software. Is this right? Or does eSignal do something very clever with the image for people in different time zones and change it?

Nope, we don't do anything fancy like that. They see exactly what you see.

I think he had.

Subsequent to me posting that question he shut down and restarted eSignal and things return to what we expected - everyone seeing the same image.

I'm particularly impressed with the way the image "zooms" up in the chat window - the special FX are good.

Glad you like it, and happy to see people using it in groups. It was the first project I did for eSignal when I joined 3 years ago.
