Is this the right forum for a file share question?

i delete a couple of folders with large files from my file share:

http://share.esignal.com/groupcontents.jsp?folder=&groupid=309

but the space used/available in the file share has not dropped. Is this because those files in the folders weren't deleted when I deleted the folder?

If so how can I go about deleting them now because I don't seem to be able to get to them...
