  • eSignal 7.9.1 and Windows 98

eSignal 7.9.1 is NOT a revision of the previous version - it is a completly different version, and despite absolutely no software checks during an install onto older legacy computers, it will install just fine and then, when you try to run it it will lock up your computer.

It caught me out on my Win98 laptop. So where do I find the older version 7.9 that worked just fine? It is nowhere to be found. Great service to your unsuspecting customers! Thanks a lot! I am just about to leave on an overseas trip and now I will have no data since the whole thing is screwed!

Most companies would at least have an ftp server with the older versions available for people who still run the older OS's.

FYI eSignal does indicate in the download page of 7.9.1 that the minimum required OS is Windows 2000.
Regardless if you run a Search in the BB for download old* version* you will find links and/or instructions on how to download older versions
