7.3 beta macd problem

Hi I am using the beta 7.3 build 573 and I have to refresh the dinapoli macd on my three minute chart at least two or three times a day. It gets all squigley after a while. It also seem to happen on longer term charts but I am not sure about that I just hit refresh hit reload and it seems to improve.

Thanks for your post. What symbol and time template (open and close time) are you using? We'll try to duplicate this during market open tomorrow and keep an eye out for any discrepancies.

DiNapoli MACD

Hello,

I'm also experiencing problems with DiNapoli's MACD. I'm using Ver 4.7, build 608. I'm trading ZB #F on 5 min. bars, 24 hr. time frame. I have to reload quite often because of irregularities with DiNapoli's MACD. Has a solution been offered? I know this thread is a couple month old. Thanks in advance!!

I've forwarded this to our product developers for further review. Hopefully we'll be able to locate a resolution for the irregularities that you mentioned. In the meantime, reloading the chart is probably the best workaround currently available. I'll be sure to pass along any information that comes my way.

This issue has been added to our bug list. We do not have an estimate on when this will be fixed but we will post any new information we receive. Please continue to manually refresh the chart as a work around. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Ray... Thank You for your quick response. I'll be waiting for a fix. In the meantime, refreshing the MACD is not a good solution, in my opinion, because it has to be done so often. It is just not dependable enough to use as trading tool. ...Erwin

Erwin,

Our EFS Specialist has created a fix for the DiNapoli MACD. You can save the attached EFS directly into the following folder:

C:\Program Files\eSignal\Formulas\DiNapoli

You'll be prompted to replace the existing file. Click yes and the update will be complete. Please add the new DiNapoli MACD to your chart and let us know if there is anything else we can help with.
