FTSE & Nikkei

are there symbols for those two indices, i know the symbols for the cac and the dax but i can't find those 2.

The symbol for the FTSE is $UKX-FTSE and requires a subscription to the FTSE Indices.
The Nikkei is available in the World Indices as $N225-IDX

As an option, you could use NK #F for Nikkei futures instead of the index if that would work for your purpose... Don't know about FTSE futures though....
