Paper Trade Window not opening

  • Paper Trade Window not opening

    I can't open the trade window from the toolbar anymore - i.e. : Trade / Esignal Paper Trade / Trade.

    When i try, nothing happens at all. The window doesn't open. Re-installing Esignal hasn't helped.

    Any suggestions?

    The OBCSample.dll in the /eSignal/OBC folder is the file that loads that window. It may be missing or has become corrupted. I would suggest removing that file and reinstalling eSignal.

      Thanks Jay but unfortunately that didn't work.

      I have also tried renaming the old Esignal folder as something else, so that the reinstall would install in a completely new and empty folder - but that hasn't helped either.

      Does Esignal refer to any other files not in the Esignal folder?

        Yes, it does. There are a few Configuration Files (.ini) in the \Windows\System folder. The Winsig.ini file contains location information for many dialog boxes. Deleting this file and reinstalling (no need to uninstall first this time,) may do the trick.

            It may be best to have someone contact you for live support as we have a tool that we can, with your permission, look at your screen and even take control of your mouse if needed. This will allow us to dig even deeper and try a variety of things out.
