  • Serious Problem!!

Any programmers out there that can lick this issue??? Otherwise lots of people are going to loose money trading using esignal..thinking the trendlines are accurate when they switch time frames.

I was trading Eur/dollars today and lost money..because the trendline I drew off the daily chart..was 22 pips off..when I switched time frames to the 10 minute chart..

I have tried removing the logarithimic price scale...and tried changing the time templates..nothing seems to work..
when I switch time frames..the trendlines move.

I CAN'T TRUST ANY TRENDLINE WHEN I CHANGE TIME FRAMES..

ANY ONE SOLVED THIS ISSUE YET?

    HELP!!!

    Thanks in advance~

    Hello notthemoma,

The reason your trend lines appear shifted is because if you draw a trend line on the Low of a daily chart, it will anchor to that price but it does not know when during the course of that day the Low was actually put in place. When you switch to an intraday time frame it will still anchor to that price however it will draw the trend line from the first bar of the day. You will see this same behavior in Metastock, Qcharts, FutureSource and other charting programs.
