  • Limiting Forex Data to Single Broker

I just installed Version 8.0 and read one of the wonderful new features is the ability to restrict data (charting I assume) to a single dealer/broker. How do I control that feature?
I tried a quick search in HELP for forex but did not find info on that feature.

    Thanks
    Dave

    Hi Dave,

If you wanted to look at the Euro / USD you would type in EUR A0-FX. If you only wanted to see quotes from Gain on the Euro / USD you would type in EUR@gain a0-fx. You can replace Gain with whichever bank you choose however not all banks have quotes for every currency pair.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Is there a specific set of brokers that this will only work for?

You can find the list of contributing banks/brokers in Symbols Guide - Forex (Format & Contributors) in the eSignal KnowledgeBase

          Hi,
I'm considering re-subscribing to the Forex data service again, now the single broker option is available.

When an advanced chart is being displayed in single Forex broker mode:
          - does the data update in real time?
          - how much intraday data is available?
          - can the daily interval be displayed?

          Thanks,
          Paul

            1) Yes it does
            2) eSignal started saving data for the individual contributors from the end of April approximately
            3) Yes it can (starting as of the date above)
