specify units displayed in quote window

I have a field for a certain contract that displays in thousands (K). Is it possible to make this display in millions or billions?

Hi,

Typically, the display is set in the feed and formatted by a file on the desktop call specs.tab. Not sure what field you are referring to but I suppose you could create a DDE link and then use Excel to format that cell into the value you want to see.

Specifically what I wanted was the volume of the NYSE in millions or billions. I'm currently using $TVOL but it shows up in thousands. Not a big deal but was more curious.

Gotcha. Try this.

In the Volume field, right-click on the Field Header, choose Data, then Short. You'll see the data in a short format that will typically be 3-4 digits ply M for millions.
