Change in how we handle the Settlement price from Eurex and Euronext Commodities

We're planning to tweak the way we handle the Settlement price from Eurex and Euronext Commodities. This will improve how things look on intra day charting.

Currently the settle comes from the exchange around 4.30pm GMT and then is repeated at market close at 21.00. User feedback is that this can look odd on intra day charts as the final price can be way up high or way down low.

Moving forward, we propose to stop sending the end of day statement of settlement. This change in behaviour will mean the Quote/Detail windows will show the last trade price rather than the settlement at end of day, and additionally users charts/indicators will not get pushed out of line.

This change is planned for August 11th.

Hello Grant,

I've been waiting patiently for the above changes to be made, but so far no luck.

Can you please let we Eurex traders know when this long awaited change will eventually be activated?

Hello Ozfader

We started development work for this change on Friday of last week and it was completed last night.

Starting today, the repeated settlement on Eurex and Euronext Comms should be a thing of the past.

We will watch this closely over the next few days to be sure everything's going as planned.

We have noticed that on some contracts, we are still seeing that repeated settlement price.

This is being worked on and we hope to have a final resolution shortly.

Quick update: a fix is in process, and we expect for this to be rolled out into live production at the end of next week.

The improvement outlined earlier in this thread has now been implemented.

From this week moving forward you will no longer see the repeated settle at the end of the day.
