  • eSignal snapshot

Is it possible to run the eSignal snapshot utility in the system tray without running eSignal? If so, how?

If not, does anybody know of any free utilities that operate like it that can be installed?

    Wildfiction,

eSignal must be up and running before the Snapshot tool can be used.

I'm sure that there may be a free application out there that does a similar sort of thing, but several of us use a program called Snagit which works very well and has a nominal cost for the functionality it provides.

        An independent cursor

I’m sure we all occasionally use either eSignal’s Snapshot or some other capture tool to grab the image of an interesting chart. But I’ve found when I go back to study such a pic I’ve always been a bit frustrated at not being able to run a cursor over it to more precisely correlate the indicators and price data than I can by simply eyeballing it. If any of you have experienced the same minor but irksome frustration you might consider downloading a piece of freeware I recently came across. It’s called CrossHair 1.01 and will run an independent crosshair cursor, adjustable for opaqueness and thickness, over any program. You can download it from the authors website at http://www.mlin.net/CrossHair.shtml or

Coincidentally he mentions that the suggestion to design such a useful little tool came from someone involved with technical analysis.
