    Ciao,
I created a VBA macro running on Excel which updates data from eSignal every 2 seconds (you can do any time period you want) and creates a Market Profile chart, much more sophisticated than the one provided with eSignal. This same spreadsheet may be used to download data and sort them in any time period you like, even tick by tick.
Let me know it you want this spreadsheet. If you are not used to macro, I may teach you how to personalize it. Free of any cost, of course.

I want to downlaod data as Qlink

        Hi all!

I want to downlaod data as Qlink

        =Qink|Bars!$NDX,5,27,DTOHLC

        I want to press =WINROS|Bars!$NDX,5,27,DTOHLC
and to download data into 27 rows as in IMG attached.

        $NDX - symbol
        5 - time frame ( 5 min current)
        27 - 27 rows
        D - date T - time H - High L - low C- Close

I think it would be very good.
        Best regards,
        Alex

          DDE links

Our current DDE links are set-up to be "live" links and do not access our history servers. Best way to accomplish what you're looking for is to use the Data Export tool in Advanced Charting. Need to be using the current 7.1 version.

We have a few FAQ's on the topic:

          Thanks,

Would be great if you can share this sheet via File Sharing, just to see what you did.

            Cheers,

            Edo.

              Data Export - Update?

              Hi -

A while back, in a Yahoo thread, I saw that eSignal had plans to make up to a year's worth of data available for Data Export. The ETA at that point was early 2003. Just wondering if there is a more specific timeframe at this point?

              Thanks.
              Jeff

                Hello jeffhogg,

The amount of data available depends on which type you are looking for. Currently, there is 60 days worth of intraday data and 10 days worth of tick data stored on our servers. The amount that is actually exported depends on the current Time Template loaded into the Advanced Chart (up to the maximum mentioned above).

If I can help further, please let me know.

                Regards,
                Jay F.

Perhaps I should have been more specific.

There were plans for the existing limit of 60-days of 1-minute intra-day data to be expanded to 1-year, with an ETA of early 2003. What is the current status of these plans? Thanks.

                    Hello Jeff,

After speaking with our development staff, the availability of this extended intraday data capacity needs to be tied in with an eSignal release. With regard to when both the server side and a release of eSignal will be ready, the release date for this enhancement will be sometime in Q2.
                    Regards,
                    Jay F.

                      Historical Data Export

                      Hi JayF -

I just downloaded the latest version of eSignal (v7.4 b608) and was disappointed to see that I can still only access 60-days of 1-minute intraday stock data. It seems as though this enhancement just keeps getting pushed out.

Are there firm plans to include this in a future release? Or is it possibly already here and I didn't notice it?

                      Thanks for your help!

                      Jeff
