market makers in market depth

i change the background color on my nyse market maker to green so i can track it better. i then save the emd file, but when i restart esignal the next time i use it the nyse color has reverted back to standard. what can i do to make the change stick?

Hi Jeddins,
When you say you saved to .emd file are you talking about YOUR Market Depth window you user each day or are you opening a new one and the change you made are not there?

Solutions for Both
If you have a Market Depth window that’s part of your everyday layout/page, you need to save the Market Depth window and the Page/Layout. This would basically take a snapshot of the Layout/Page so the next time you open eSignal all changes are there.

If the Market Depth window is not apart of your everyday layout but you open a new one by either right click on a symbol in your quote window and selecting Market Depth or From the main menu File-->New -->Market Depth, you would have to make the changes to the Market Depth and then Save it as a Default so that each new MD window you opened would have the change in it. To save the default from the main menu go to Market Depth Options-->Save Defaults.

i have a emd file that i use everyday. For example of PFE. I go to market makers and change the background of the nyse to green. i save the file and also save the layout. when i go to a new day and the layout opens the changes to the nyse color does not stay.

This appears to be bug in the current version of eSignal 8.0 build 782. We have reported it to the development team and it will be corrected in the next version of eSignal 8.1.
