  • Setting an alert for EPREM A0

I'm having problems trying to set an alert on my EPREM A0 chart. There is no bid or ask or last traded price. EPREM A0 is just a value and I just want an audio alarm and a pop-up alert whenever the value of EPREM A0 goes above a certain level or below a certain level that I will define manually each day. I know about right-clicking and the button with the little yellow bell but I can't get it to work. Maybe someone would be kind enough to "hand hold" me through it. Let's say I want a .wav file to play and a pop-up to display every time EPREM A0 goes above 5.00 and another alarm/alert when it goes below 3.00, how would I achieve that? It must happen every time, so if it goes above 5.00 then below then above again, I want to be alerted the second time too.

How strange. I tried to set an alert for a high of 5.00 and a low of 3.00 and it keeps firing off even though the markets are closed! EPREM A0 is currently 4.94 so it shouldn't be firing off at all. What's going on?

There is an issue when setting Alerts on some futures (or futures based) symbols if the Compact Price Display option in File-> Preferences is unchecked. In this case the value set in the Alert is divided by 100 so instead of [for example] 5.5 it gets set to 0.05.
The solution at this time is either to enter the alert value without decimalizing it ie using 550 instead of 5.50 or to check the Compact Price Display option. In the latter case all futures will display in charts or Quote windows in their native formats eg the e-mini S&P will display as 143950 instead of 1439.50 and the EPREM A0 will display as 500 instead of 5.00.
Alternatively you can accomplish a smiliar task through efs. If you search the forums you should find various scripts that will generate alerts at user defined price levels

Thanks. The alert setting feature doesn't work at all for what I'm trying to achieve. I couldn't find anything in the forums that sent an alert based on price so I made an .efs with the Formula Wizard that works fine.
