  • Triggered alert list problem

    Hello

I'm having a problem starting esignal in the morning. When I initially fire up esig I'm getting a triggered alert list window coming up, with a so-called 'hawk-eye stop' for es #f listed. Then esig tries to fire up but the data manager does'nt come up, the program then becomes un-responsive I have to restart the software. The 2nd time the triggered alert list does'nt appear but the data manager also does'nt start. The 3rd time esig starts normally.

This is a relatively new problem, northing has changed on my system, I'm running win xp service pack 2 on a Pentium 4 3.06 GHz 512 with mb Ram

    Hi Jonathan,
This sounds like it may be something with the layout/page you’re using.

The first thing to try is editing the winsig.ini file located in the C:\Window directory.
Take note of you Page/Layout Name.
To edit this file; CLOSE ESIGNAL AND THE DATA MANAGER
Do a search for winsig.ini or go to Start Run and type in C:\Windows\winsig.ini and click open.
In the file look for the line item- Layout= C:\Program File\eSignal\ ….
Deleted everything on the line except Layout= .
Save and close the ini file and launch eSignal.
When eSignal launched you will receive an error; Layout file not found.
Click OK and eSignal will launchwith a blank page.
Open your page/layout close out of the Trigger Alert List, Save you page/layout. So that the next time you open eSignal it will not come up.
