  • Studies drift in RenkoChart

I use RenkoCharts, but during the day my studies drift.

I show you next 2 pics, one is "reloaded", you see the drift from 6hours between the "unreloaded".

I use *.efs and the Simple Studies from eSignal and get the drift (parabolic and ma). The problem is only in Renko , not in a candle chart.

How I get a correct studie during the day?

        Torso,

Thank you for your posts. This is a known issue, and is on our bug list. We hope to address this in the next few versions of eSignal (7.4 or 8.0).

          Thanks for the fast answer!

Give it a way, to automate the relaod funktion (with *.efs) ?

            Torso,

Instead of creating a global reloadEFS function that would reload all EFS studies, it would prove more efficient to correct the drift problem, and alleviate the need for a global reload.

              Ok, but when????????

I was also waiting for this since some month

Could you tell us not a solution which solves the problem meanwhile, with the reloadEFS() function?

                Hi JayF,

you wrote..."instead of creating a global reloadEFS function that would reload all EFS studies, it would prove more efficient to correct the drift problem, and alleviate the need for a global reload..."

yeah, I think so, but when will eSignal give us working RenkoChart? In the year 2004 ("in the next few versions..."?? )

                  High Priority

The resolution of this Renko problem is a VERY high priority for me too. And I KNOW that it is for quite a few others, some not yet subscribers.

                    ...some not yet subscribers....

yes you are right...... and also some no more

Of course, meanwhile e-signal works on this problem, (I hope they will do) I have to search for another company which can provide me a renko which works!

Of course this makes me angry, because I spent a lot of time learning the e-signal programming codes and to understand how everything works. To do this again with another company I donĀ“t want to do, but anytime I have to!

So, anyway without this problem I am satisfied with e-signal and it would be helpful that somebody of e-signal answer the Question of torso about "when" it is also my question.

This bug has been confirmed and is now being actively watched by our QA Team. At this point, I'm uncertain if a fix will make it in time for 7.4, but if not it will likely be in the following version.
                      Regards,

                        differing renko levels between users

                        Hi,

myself and another user have been
comparing our renko charts. All parameters
are identical, yet we are getting different
prices for the next block. Ie, mine might
say 980.25 and his might say 980.75

                        Why is this?

This relates to the same bug mentioned below. Essentially there are two parts to this bug.

                          1) Blocks are missing.
                          2) Studies drift off of their y-axis under certain conditions.
