  • Which Time Zone Should I Select To Get Correct Intraday Data

    I am located in Asia.

I am getting strange Intraday Charts & data if I keep my computer clock on local time. This happens only with eSignal application.Other trading software does not have this problem.

    (1) Which time zone should I keep my computer clock to get the correct Intraday Charts & data ?

    (2) Why is this the case only with eSignal application ?

    Thanks

I am in Asia too (Japan). My computer clock is local
time. Are you sure your Time Templates are set for
    the correct trading times?

I am not using time template right now.

      Just the dynamic charts.

To try to determine what the problem could be and to suggest a solution will require some more details.
What time zone are you in? What do you mean with "strange intraday charts"? If possible include a snapshot of a chart that illustrates the problem and in which the chart title (ie the line at the top left of the price pane that includes the Time Template settings) is clearly visible. Also what version and build of eSignal are you running?
FWIW a chart is always using a Time Template. Dynamic just means that the number of bars to be loaded has not been defined so the program will initially download only the amount of data required to fill a chart and then request more data as the chart is scrolled back. It does not indicate however what Start/End times are applied to the chart which is what jay60 was referring to.
