  • DDE link and non US continous futures

    Little question...

    Last for S&P FUT continous
    =WINROS|LAST!'ES #F'
    It works perfecly..

    Last for Eurostoxx FUT continous
    =WINROS|LAST!'ET 1!-DT'
    It doesn't work

    while

Last for Eurostoxx FUT (june contract)
    =WINROS|LAST!'ET M7-DT'
    It works..

I need a continous code, since i've to download historical intraday data to back test trading systems and the last contract is not enough..

How can i solve this problem?
    Any idea?

    Many thanks and kind regards

The 1! user defined continuous contracts are available only within the eSignal application.
A possible solution could be to use the efs DDEOutput Object (see the link for the description and syntax)

      Thank u for your answer...
Now i'm trying to understand how to use DDEOutput Object..
But i'm worried the problem is not so easy to solve..
Since i've not to export to excel only, but also to Globalserver of Tradestation too..
Could it work or is it a waste of time?

      Thanks again

You do not need to export to GlobalServer using DDE since GlobalServer can receive data directly from the eSignal feed (or download the historical data with the eSignal Plugin) and you can create continuous contracts within GlobalServer just by changing the symbols of the specific contracts.
For more information on this and other topics related to using TS2k with eSignal I would suggest that you go through the TradeStation 2000i forum here in eSignalCentral

Yes, I can build a continous contract into globalserver..
And it's good from this moment on..

But i don't think i can retrieve historical prices 5 minutes of last 12 months..

If i want the chart from a previous contract (for example ET 7H-DT) i cannot see data in esignal..

See this post. For your information I found it by searching the TradeStation 2000i forum for the keyword continuous
