Need help buy a new DELL laptop
(1) Is 2 MB memory still enough?

(2) The new "Cell Phone" connections ?
Can they be used for esignal?

(a) Verizon ?
(b) AT&T ?

(3) Any thing else I should consider ?

OK - 2 GIGABYTE (GB) is enough for you to run quite a bit if it's combined with the right processor.

2 MB is NOT A GOOD IDEA (I know this was probably a simple mistake).

Now, regarding the processor.. You should get something with at least 3.0 GHZ (intel or amd is fine) and if you can afford it, get a dualcore or quadcore.

The fact is if you wish to provide for expansion and capacity, then your RAM memory and processor speeds are the key.

Hard drives are really quite cheap right now and because esignal provides the data, you don't really need to worry about hard drives/space.

You might also want to specifically look for laptops that provide "dual screen" capacity. This allows you to plug "another computer screen" into your laptop and run esignal on BOTH SCREENS. Some laptops have this feature "built-in".

If I were to get one right now, I would look for something that is dualcore, with 2 GB ram and "Dual Screen" capacity. I'm guessing this type of laptop would run about $550~999 (depending on maker and condition)

AT&T built-in cellular mobile boradband (HSDPA 3.6)

(3)Networcard and Modem
Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem

Getting (1),(2),(3) above
Any comments on (1), (2) , (3) ????

sorry - no experience with these broadband cards. I have friends who have them, but I have no experience with them.
