  • Using NTBACKUP to backup eSignal

Would someone please help me with this.

I must reinstall WIN. XP. That is no problem. However,
I have a large number of applications in Program Files
that would take a week to install and set up again from
    scratch.
My question is if I backup eSignal, Zone Alarm etc. to
'Program Files' in NTBACKUP in Windows, when I restore them, will
they function and with all the settings intact. My reason for
questioning this is that I don't know if the NTBACKUP includes
the registry settings that I imagine would be required
for eSignal to function after restoring it.

Thank you for any information you may provide.

I have never actually used the NT Backup feature; the Windows Rollback has worked great the many times I’ve had to use it though. Now I can’t speak on Zone Alarm but as for eSignal this is what I would recommend.

If you’re going to be wiping out the Operating System save the eSignal Directory and the winsig.ini file to a zip drive or a second computer if you have one.
Once you have installed Windows and eSignal, simply replace the eSignal Directory and Winsig.ini files with the ones you’ve saved. It would be as if you never removed it.

Good luck and please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
