  • What file is IB Symbology database ?

    Hello,

Where is the mapping between eSig and Interactivebrokers symbol is saved ? What file is it ?

    Thanks

You can set up and modify the mapping by going to the Trade menu in eSignal, selecting Interactive Brokers, and then Symbology. You'll map the eSignal symbol to the IB symbol there and futures require the Exchange and Expiry fields to be set up, but Equities don't. The Expiry needs to be the 4 digit year followed by the 2 digit month (ex. 200306 for a June, 2003 expiration)

While we don't recommend it, you can look directly at the file this information is stored. It's stored in text and can be viewed in notepad or any other text editor. The file is named Symbology-IB.ini and is stored in your Windows or WinNT directory depending on your operating system.

    Thank you,
