    Hi

    I want to check out the latency from the servers. I'm located in California can you tell me what city Esignal servers I would be connected to.

    Hi Mark,

    Thank you for the post. There is no way to tell which servers you would connect to prior to launching eSignal. To evenly distribute our users to thousands server all of the country we uses something called Load Balancing. What this does is check the number of users on each server and when a new connection request coming they are routed the server with the least number of user.


    If you would like to check latency I would recommend that you use the diagnostic tool in the eSignal directory. Step 6 in the diagnostic does a trace route back to the server farm and let you know the result of the test. It also does some secondary pings to test your connection as well.

    Once the tests are complete click on the Report tab on the top left to see the results, you can then use the report to make necessary changes.
