  • Qcollector disconnect from server

    Hi,

I use from few month Qcollector + esignal to collect some data. Only from few days, when I use Qcollector, I'm systematically disconnected from esignal server within 20 minutes after beginning the download. I have in Qcollector "status message": "disconnected from tick server - invalid session".
I contact esignal support to verify if my licence is ok, and all is ok.

Does someones already have this problem ?

    Thanks for your help.

I'm not familiar with that specific error message but I'm assuming that's being displayed in QCollector. If that's the case, have you had a chance to ask Mechtrading what would cause that? In case you don't have it, here's a link to their email support:

Please let us know your progress and how we can help further.

    Thanks.

      info

      Scottj,

      thanks for your help.

Here below the response of Mechtrading :

"According to eSignal, this is most likely a connectivity issue. It's
possible that with a connection to the eSignal servers you could receive
this message. Try tracing your internet connection to the eSignal servers.
If your ping is greater than 1000 msecs you will most likely have problems."

I made some test with my two internet providers, and the problem is the same :
"Tick data request failed for XXX : Invalid session ID"
      Don't know what to do.

      Thanks for your help.

      Papace.

You'll find a diagnostics test under the eSignal folder so you can run that to gauge your internet connections.

It's going to be a little difficult to troubleshoot in a 3p so I'd ask that you simply try to get data w/in eSignal and see if that works ok. If not, what happens and what status messages do you see (not ent, request sent, no data, etc)?

        Thanks.

Thanks for posting those. Can you tell us what experience you have using the eSignal application to access our data? Do you get any error messages? Do charts fill-in for both daily and intraday?

                Thanks.
