How can I stop streaming quotes of some symbols?

Sometimes I would like to check charts of some high volume stocks briefly. After I am done, how can I terminate the streaming quotes of these symbols so as to avoid system congestion when market gets busy? Besides exit esignal and restart, is there other methods to purge the active symbol list? Help is greatly appreciated.

Clearpicks
In the data manager you can go to Data-->Symbols and Click on reset DB.

This will remove any symbol you do not have listed in your page/layout.
