It seems that Esignal charts have not
been working well today. I was trying to
use the Renko chart for the SPY and the
chart is 2 or 3 points lagging behind the
SPY value. I know how the Renko charts work. A new block is added when the
underlying goes above or below the
range for the present block. But right now the block is at 95.5 and SPY is at 92.7.
The chart is not updating ..... frozen?!!!

    Is Esignal not working today?????????

I know how the Renko charts work. A new block is added when the underlying goes above or below the range for the present block.
To be precise one or more bricks are plotted (as required) only if at the completion of the chart interval the price is above or below the High or Low of the previous brick by at least the value defined in the Box Size. For example if the chart is set to a Box Size of 2 and the interval is set to 5 minutes then a new brick is not plotted if in the third minute of the 5 minute period price moves by more than 2 points above or below the High or Low of the previous brick. It is plotted only if that occurs at the end of the interval

      Renko Charts

Thanks for the info. I am new to
using Renko. Renko chart operation as
you described it probably prevents a lot
of noise since the item could trigger several changes during one time period.
For a fast moving item, it is probably best
to use the one minute chart and a slightly
      larger box interval.
Has the Renko charting worked well for
      you??

      Thanks
